Trans-Siberian Express

Our trains contain some of the finest accommodation available in luxury train travel today, offering a high level of comfort; particularly important in the cabins, which will be your 'hotel room' on wheels. All departures feature one or two lovingly designed restaurant cars and a spacious bar car. So, as well as enjoying the excellent food and wine served on board, you can sit with a drink while enjoying the good company and conversation of fellow travellers; and watch the changing landscapes unfold.

All our tours are run by an experienced Tour Manager and include a wide-ranging sight-seeing schedule to make the most of the time you have off the train for exploring. We believe that it is the special little touches that help create magical memories - whether it is attending a private concert in the middle of Siberia; drinking tea picked from the very plantations where you are sitting, nestled in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas; or visiting a local family home in the Steppes of Mongolia. Travelling with us will not only be an unforgettable experience but truly a Voyage of a Lifetime.

We take the utmost care to ensure that all of your pre-booking, pre-departure and travel needs are met with the same high standards of service - whether you are enquiring about one of our tours or asking your onboard attendant to bring afternoon tea to your cabin.

Our tours are designed to allow you to enjoy your journey to the full, and leave the finer detail to us. The prices of most of our tours include arrival and departure transfers; meals both on and off the train; a generous drinks allowance with lunch and dinner; off-train excursions; all gratuities; and an on board doctor. If you wish we can also arrange your international flights and any extra hotel nights at additional cost.

Our Golden Eagle private train

On 26 April 2007 HRH Prince Michael of Kent, GCVO unveiled the Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express®, our new train that brings unprecedented luxury to the world’s greatest railway journey.

The 12 new fully en-suite sleeping cars feature state of the art amenities. 77 sq ft (7 sq m) Gold Class cabins are well-proportioned and have everything from power showers and underfloor heating to a DVD/CD player, LCD screen and individual air-conditioning. Silver Class cabins are more compact at 60 sq ft (5.5 sq m) but have similar facilities.

New for 2010 we are also introducing New Heritage Class. Whilst not en-suite, at 39 sq ft they provide comfortable surroundings in which to enjoy this legendary journey.

A particular delight of the Golden Eagle are our beautifully appointed restaurant cars, the venue for our chefs to serve carefully-prepared meals using, wherever possible, only local ingredients. Whether it be the world-renowned ‘Borsch’ or Omul – a fish unique to Lake Baikal – we offer a culinary experience representing the very essence of Russia. Our meals are complemented by wines from around the world, as well as – naturally – vodka.

Yet the social heart of our train is the bar car, a great place to relax and settle into the unhurried pace of life on board. Unwind in comfortable surroundings and watch the world go by as you get to know your fellow passengers. Enjoy the sounds of the pianist playing in the evenings; and the bar stays open until the last person leaves.
